Goriška Brda, the hilly region of west Slovenia is more and more turisticly known not only by home tourists but also among foreign ones. Landscape along Italian – Slovenian border offers many sights that you probably never heard before.
If you are a bit more “sport type” of a person, we can start the trip with short cycling trip along river Soča (trip source: Mini cycling trip). If not, our trip starts in the village of Gonjače. Here we ascent the observation tower, which hands you the whole region on a plate. In a nearby Šmartno we will take a short walk through typicall regional village. After that there is a guided tour of castle Dobrovo.
Goriška Brda are also known by it’s tasty local vines. We will take you to the one of winecellars (also possible by your choice), where you can taste noble varieties drops from local wineyards.
After wine tasting we head to see another natural attraction – natural bridge Krčnik. We finish the trip with a lunch in restaurant Belvin (or any other by your choice).
At our way back home towards Coast region (Koper), we stop for a quick panorama view by a castle of Miren.
