This short daily trip takes you to the “greenest capital of Europe” …  yes, you read correctly !
Just couple of minutes more than 1h ride away from Koper / Trieste (Italy) is Slovenian capital – Ljubljana. And exactly this city won the official award for The greenest capital of Europe in 2016

Ljubljana has it’s own very interesting, vibrant and lively athmosphere. But still not the same hustle & busy feel like the other capitals in Europe.
We will walk on the riverbanks of Ljubljanica river, admire rich architecture and green areas on each step of our trip (aproximately 1h). You will hear interesting stories, facts and information about the city, it’s region and also about Slovenia.
Ljubljana was grounded already in the ancient Roman times, the biggest growth and development happened in the era of Austrian – Hungarian empire. Well kept city center’s historical buildings have their own charming aspect incorporated into green surroundings. On top of the city hill lies Ljubljana castle, from where you have the entire city handed out like on a plate – magnificent view with mountain chain at the back.
You will be also having 60 – 90 minutes of free time to explore the city on your own, or take the cable-car to Ljubljana’s castle (one-way ticket for cable car included in the price) or simply shop for some souvenirs or grab a lunch.

If passengers desire to stay a bit longer – we gladly extend your trip a bit longer (additional small surcharge).
The trip finishes back at the starting point in Trieste or Koper.
